Immortal Covenant. Kehidupan pertamanya dimulai saat ia hidup sebagai anak
pendeta di Hungaria dan dikenal dengan nama Katalina István. Tanpa diketahui
olehnya selama ini, Katalina termasuk garis keturunan terakhir dari Adolf
Rybakov yang harus dilindungi. Ia adalah sejenis manusia Bereginya, atau

Pada abad-19,
kedatangan tiga penduduk baru di desanya mengubah drastis kehidupan Katalina

(Szilard) adalah protagonis dan former
antagonis di seri The Immortal Covenant, juga merupakan salah satu anggota The
Everlasting Ones atau vampir Ördögöt pertama yang diciptakan di bumi melalui
perantara raja iblis Lucifer. Pada abad ke-15, Moric mengadakan perjanjian
dengan Lucifer untuk menyelamatkan anak-anaknya dari wabah virus mematikan di
Hungaria. Dari perjanjian tersebut, Lucifer memberikan kehidupan bagi Szilard
bersaudara, menjadikan mereka makhluk imortal yang bergantung hidup pada darah
manusia. Sebagai imbalannya, Lucifer meminta tubuh anak-anak Moric sebagai
tempat hidup bangsa iblis. Dari sanalah vampir Ördögöt diciptakan pertama
kalinya. Szilard bersaudara lantas dikenal sebagai The Everlasting Ones.
Atas kematian
orangtuanya yang dibunuh oleh Adolf Rybakov, Adriel dan dua saudaranya
berambisi menuntut balas dengan membunuh seluruh garis keturunan Rybakov.
Hingga menyisakan seorang gadis yang hidup di lingkungan gereja bernama
Katalina István. Seperti keturunan lain yang telah dibunuh, Katalina menjadi
target bagi Everlasting bersaudara untuk menuntaskan apa yang telah dimulai
kakek moyang gadis itu. Gagal membunuh Katalina, alih-alih gadis itu menjelma
menjadi Laura Kristeva yang dilahirkan pada abad 20 oleh pasangan penguasa
vampir Ördogot di Budapest.
Meski didorong
keinginan iblis dalam dirinya sekaligus kedua kakaknya, Adriel berusaha
menghindarkan Katalina dari bahaya. Sampai gadis itu mati di tangan warga yang
menuduhnya sebagai vampir, Adriel tak pernah lagi melihatnya hingga mengetahui
informasi terbaru bahwa Katalina telah terlahir kembali menjadi Laura Kristeva.
Di dalam diri Laura, ia tidak lagi melihat adanya jejak Katalina yang tertutupi
oleh sifat egois, jalang, berbahaya, dan jahat gadis itu yang membuatnya
